MOUNT ABU SCHOOL HOSTS ROBOTICS WORKSHOP FOR PRIMARY STEM EDUCATORS
The IB PYP Unit and Innovation Club of Mount Abu School, in collaboration with VEX Robotics, successfully organized an engaging workshop titled "Introduction to Robotics in the Primary Classroom" for STEM educators across Delhi NCR.
During the workshop, primary educators received hands-on training with VEX 123 robots, exploring innovative strategies to incorporate robotics into their classrooms. Our IB PYP team also shared its vision of integrating robotics as a key component of the PYP curriculum.
WORKSHOP ON EARTHIAN AWARDS PROGRAM BY WIPRO FOUNDATION
Mount Abu Public School is thrilled to announce collaboration with Wipro Foundation for the Wipro Earthian Program! Educators from 25 esteemed schools across Delhi NCR were invited by Wipro Foundation in exploring the realms of Sustainability & Climate Action, integrating them into our curriculum. Gratitude to schools for joining this six months long collaboration & for promoting sustainability. Together, we aim to empower our students to be future eco-warriors.
WORKSHOP ON DISASTER MANAGEMENT
Disaster in life never knocks before appearing . With this thought a Workshop on Disaster Management- including First Aid , Search and Rescue and Fire Safety was organised in collaboration with SJAB where hands-on-Training on how to cope with several emergencies was shown and practised by the Educators. The spokesperson- Mr. Inderjit Singh (CORPS Commander [SJAB]) also showed what are the various types of emergencies an individual can come across in everyday life and how First Aid help can be provided to the casualties
TRAINING SESSION ON CPR
School's Educators attended a training session on CPR and got their basic health parameters checked. The Health camp and CPR Training Session was organised in collaboration with Max Healthcare. The session provided a significant life-saving skill that everyone must know as they are life-saving in a heart attack or close to drowning cases, where victims' heartbeats have stopped and require immediate treatment. Expertise is not necessary when someone's life is at stake; basic knowledge is enough which the educators attained to follow in case of emergencies.
CONSULTATION WORKSHOP ON NATIONAL CURRICULUM FRAMEWORK
The Learning Community of Mount Abu School was invited to be a part of Implementing NationalEducationPolicy2020 in One Day Consultation Workshop on National Curriculum Framework organised by Indira Gandhi National Open University IGNOU in collaboration with National Council of Education Research & Training.
CAPACITY BUILDING PROGRAM ON LEARNING OUTCOMES AND PEDAGOGIES
Mount Abu Public School hosted Capacity Building Program on the theme “Learning Outcomes and Pedagogies” organised by Central Board of Secondary Education. Dr. Meenakshi Gupta, Principal, S.D . Public School and Ms. Aishwarya Taneja, HOD , Bal Bharti Public School were the resource persons for the training program who extensively focused on paradigm shift from teacher centred approach to student centred approach, the major component of National Education Policy 2020. The resource persons asserted that the outcomes need to be measurable and observable. Hands on creating well- defined outcomes by critically thinking and learning from other's experiences by the educators were the highlights of the program followed by strategies to align the outcomes to the desired goals in the learning process leading to effectiveness in the process.
WORKSHOP ON CONTINUING PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT
A continuing professional development workshop for science teachers was organised at Mount Abu Public School on 13th July to develop professional qualities, and to improve knowledge, skills and practice, leading to empowerment. Resource Person, Ms. Surbhi shared some of the teaching- learning methodologies, Experiential learning activities that can be taken up in the classroom settings to enhance learning. The activities involved active learning strategies. The session turned out as an extremely interesting yet a learning experience. Teachers participated with great zeal.
SESSION ON HEALTHY LIFESTYLE
A healthy lifestyle can help you thrive as you move through your life's journey. A session on "Healthy Lifestyle" was conducted by Dt Shilpa Nijhawan, Certified Dietician on 8th May 2021. The resource person highlighted that making healthy choices isn't always easy and it can be hard to find the time and energy to exercise regularly or prepare healthy meals. However, the efforts will pay off in many ways, and for the rest of your life. She guided the participants to follow steps like be physically active for 30 minutes most days of the week. It was suggested that Healthy movement may include walking, sports, dancing, yoga or running. Eating a well-balanced, low-fat diet with lots of fruits, vegetables, and whole grains was also another useful tip given. Many useful tips to maintain CRP in this pandemic were also suggested. Overall it was the interactive and useful session.
SESSION ON LIVING IN THE PRESENT
A session on LIVING IN THE PRESENT by Science of Spirituality took place in Mount Abu Public School on 24 April 2021 .The resource person, Ms. Usha, made us aware that the best way of enjoying our life is to live in the present. Living in the present helps us meditate better as it gives us strength to be calm in the middle of the storm. To get the power we need to strengthen us and the soul is the real power behind body. Meditation relaxes us .We feel secured ,confident and stress –free . as we realize that God is our protector. It gives us positivity to face the challenges boldly as we see that the Higher Power is with us all the time. We realize that God’s unseen arm is always around us. Living in the present moment allows one to be happier and thankful for everything. It makes us more productive. In the present moment of negativity around us . Due to the Covid 19 scenario, the session served as a beacon of light to everyone as it is the need of the hour to strengthen ourselves and others as well around us to be filled with positivity to be strong, confident and bold to handle the present situation.
WORKSHOP ON ONLINE COURSES

Since the COVID -19 pandemic has adversely affected the human life throughout the globe, the digital adaption of the worldly affairs has emerged as the solution. With such revolutionary thought, an enriching learning experience was arranged for the teachers of Mount Abu Public school, Sector 5, Rohini, New Delhi, on 17 April 2021 in the form of a training session on online courses. It was conducted by Ms. Poonam Chopra, the senior computer faculty and a certified Microsoft Trainer, for the teachers of all levels of the organisation. It covered the training on different courses through Microsoft like Wakelet, Flipgrid, Swayam and Diksha Portal. Step by step guidance was given to do the courses. Necessary instructions were given to undertake the courses and download the certificates and transcripts after its completion. It was an informative session as there was a diverse range of the courses to choose from and learn the topic of own’s choice. The senior coordinator Mrs.Rannu Pathak also guided to facilitate teaching learning process through the option of comic books available on Diksha Portal of all the subjects for all the classes. The teachers participated enthusiastically and once again were felt to experience as the all time learners.
ACADEMIC ORIENTATION - CACA SAFETY PROJECT
A session on children's safety was taken on 10th April by Ms. Monica, an established Psychologist. The session focused on children's safety at home, in school and everywhere. The resource person highlighted that the Child's Safety should not be overlooked as children are vulnerable in their formative years. It is the responsibility of all to safeguard them and to guide them to be careful and vigilant. The session informed the participants that CACA safety workbook teaches and guides about the issues that children might face. The workshop was an eye opener as all were informed about the latest laws and terminologies associated with child safety. The session also emphasized on how girls and boys are equally prone to abuse and hence special care needs to be taken. It laid importance on the fact that one needs to be extremely observant for any changes in the behaviour of any student and deal the situation wisely. It was indeed a much needed session to ensure all the students are safe and happy.
CAPACITY BUILDING PROGRAMME ON LIFE SKILLS
Principal Ms. Jyoti Arora conducted Capacity Building Program of CBSE on “Life Skills”. Over 250 Educators (Principals & Teachers) from different schools of Delhi joined the workshop. The workshop emphasized on importance of Core Life Skills and how teachers can help students to develop these skills.
WEBINAR ON MENTAL WELL BEING -OUR PRIORITY
The school organised a webinar on “Mental Well Being in Pandemic” by Dr. Jitendra Nagpal, renowned expert in Mental Wellness. He gave the community useful tips on utilizing the lockdown time with calm mind and positive attitude. COFFEE WITH FATHERS - A Workshop on the Interpersonal Relationship with the Child
The school organized an afternoon event exclusively for fathers of classes X and XII “Coffee with Fathers” on 15th September 2018 from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. as an initiative to rekindle their love and faith with their child for his cognitive and social development. The gathering was addressed by Mr. Nishant Bansal , a renowned speaker from Quality Education Asia (QEA) whose address which included a movie was an eyeopener for every one. It was followed by two activities titled "Know your Child" and "Action Plan" which forced fathers to think how much they know their own child and at the same time find ways to bond with them after thorough introspection. The entire workshop was very interactive and saw active participation by the audience as their queries were well responded by the School Counselors and the Senior Coordinator. In the end, the School Principal Ms. Jyoti Arora thanked their presence and involvement with the hope to have more such sessions.
